Join us as we join the city of North Charleston to Stomp out crime!

On Tuesday, August 1 citizens, law enforcement agencies, community groups, businesses and local officials in over 10,000 communities and military bases worldwide will join forces to mark the 34th Annual National Night Out.
At 6:00 p.m. citizens from various neighborhoods throughout the city will gather at Felix Davis Community Center at Park Circle for an evening of fun and crime prevention education. The event will include static displays from the City of North Charleston’s Police, Fire, and Cultural Arts departments; Charleston County Sheriffs; Charleston County Aviation Authority; MUSC; SC Highway Patrol; SC Department of Natural Resources; and U.S. Coast Guard. Local businesses taking part include: Boeing; Lowes Home Improvement; Target, CPI Security; New York Life Insurance; Father to Father Project; FanZam Liquid Box Truck; Jason’s Jumps; Cheerwine; and Nintendo. There will jump castles, give-a-ways courtesy of Target stores, along with food and drinks for attendees.
A community walk around Park Circle will take place during the event. Park Circle will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6 pm to 7 pm. Confirmed communities participating: Charleston Farms; Ferndale; and Union Heights.
National Night Out is designed to (1) heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs; (3) strengthen neighborhood spirit, police and community relations; and (4) send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods around the world are organized and fighting back.
Nationally, over 33 million people will participate in ‘America’s Night Out Against Crime.’
